Message from the Commissioner

Welcome to the 2009 Atlantic Central Football Conference season.

The purpose of our media guide is to provide you with up-to-date player, coach and program information, preseason team forecasts and historical statistics pertaining to the ACFC and its four football member institutions. For additional information about the ACFC, please contact our ACFC conference publicist, Jim Heath at the Apprentice School.

Excitement is running high on all four of our campuses in each team's quest of the ACFC Championship Trophy. From our coaches' perspective and the early preseason reports, it appears that we are in for another fall of closely contested games and top to bottom parity which will hopefully ensure that all four teams will contend for the 2009 ACFC title.

Finally, I would like to express congratulations to Wesley College on capturing the 2008 ACFC title and for their selection into and participation in last fall's NCAA DIII Football Championship tournament. In addition, Salisbury University deserves recognition for their postseason ECAC Bowl Championship selection and victory over Moravian College last November.

In closing, I would like to extend my sincere best wishes to all Atlantic Central Football Conference teams for another successful year on the field and in the classroom. At the completion of what we anticipate will be a very competitive regular season of conference play, may the best team emerge and proudly wear the 2009 ACFC crown.
