FSU football enters its 48th season this fall with a 224-229-8 overall record during that span. The 1999 season capped a decade of excellence for Frostburg State football as the Bobcats claimed the ACFC Championship with a 5-1 record, while posting an overall mark of 8-3 and receiving a bid to play in the ECAC Southwest Championship game.
During the 1990s, Frostburg State football achieved 10 consecutive winning seasons with an overall record of 77-27-1 for an impressive .733 winning percentage. Other achievements throughout the 90ís include an NCAA appearance in 1993 and five ECAC championship appearances, winning two of them in 1991 and 1996.
Since 2000, FSU has captured two more ACFC Championships in 2002 and 2003 and made a pair of appearances in ECAC Southwest Championships in 2002 and 2005.
Tom Rogish enters his third season as the head coach of the Bobcats and has the team poised to make a run for the league title. Rogish, who guided FSU to a 3-6 overall record during his first season despite playing the nation's toughest schedule, came to Frostburg State after spending the last 22 years at the NCAA Division II level with both Shepherd (W.Va.) and Indiana (Pa.). He helped both teams to a combined 15 appearances in the NCAA Playoffs, including national runner-up finishes at IUP in 1990 and 1993.
