ACFC Week 4 Players of the Week


 OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Jamar Garner, Sr., RB, Salisbury

The senior from Frederick, Md. ran for 127 yards on just nine carries and scored two touchdowns as Salisbury defeated Delaware Valley 36-16 in Salisbury, Md.  He was the offense on one scoring drive when Salisbury took the ball 80 yards, the last 59 being a scoring run from Garner.  He also caught two passes for 28 yards.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Kyle Lackie, Jr., DB, SUNY Brockport

The junior from Cheektowaga, NY recorded ten tackles (3 solo/7assisted) with three for a loss and a pass breakup as SUNY Brockport defeated Frostburg State 38-7.  He spearheaded the Golden Eagles secondary giving up only 52 passing yards in the game.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Nicholas Payne, P, So., Frostburg State

The sophomore punter from Frostburg, Md. averaged nearly 49 yards per punt and had three land inside SUNY Brockport's 20-yardline in a 38-7 loss to the Golden Eagles.  He broke the FSU and ACFC record with an 82-yard punt and had two for touchbacks in the loss.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Jeff Cook, Fr., K, SUNY Brockport

The freshman kicker from Penfield, NY was 5-for-5 on PAT's and hit a 28-yard field goal in SUNY Brockport's 38-7 win over Frostburg State.  He also averaged over 50 yards per kickoff in seven attempts.
