Wesley, Salisbury Ranked In Final ECAC Lambert Poll

CAPE COD, Mass. - Wesley College finished third and Salisbury University was eighth in the final ECAC® Lambert Meadowlands Division III Football Poll presented by FieldTurf Tarkett.
Cortland State received 85 points in the poll to win the 2008 Lambert Meadowlands Division III Trophy. Washington & Jefferson was second with 77 points, just four ahead of the Wolverines.
There was a large separation between the top three teams and fourth place Hobart, who netted 53 points. Ithaca was only two points behind in fifth.
Curry (38 points), Muhlenburg (34), ACFC rival Salisbury (30), Trinity (Conn.) (26), and Montclair State (14) rounded out the top 10, respectively.
The Wolverines finished 9-2 and were undefeated in the ACFC, advancing to the second round of the NCAA Division III Football Championships. It was the fourth straight conference title and trip to the NCAAs for the Wolverines. Salisbury also finished the year 9-2 and defeated Moravian 21-17 in the ECAC Southwest Bowl.
