PLAYERS OF THE WEEK - September 14, 2009

OFFENSE

Aaron Jackson, Sr., Wesley, New Brunswick, N.J.

The senior running back gained 134 yards on 18 carries with one touchdown as the fifth-ranked Wesley Wolverines defeated NCAA Division II North Greenville 28-3.  He moved into fourth place on the Wesley career rushing yards list with 2,714 yards.

DEFENSE

Mike Asiedu, So., LB, Wesley, Yonkers, N.Y.

The sophomore linebacker topped the fifth-ranked Wolverines with 10 tackles (8 solo) in their  28-3 victory over NCAA Division II North Greenville.  He also forced and recovered a fumble that set up Wesley's first touchdown.

SPECIAL TEAMS

Andrew Geisert, Sr., K, Salisbury, White Plains, Md.

Averaged 39 yards per punt with two pinning N.C. Wesleyan inside its 20 in the Sea gulls 24-17 loss on Saturday.  His first punt put the Bishops on its four yard line, while another started them on their 16.
