ACFC Offensive Players Of The Week

Shane McSweeny, Wesley, Jr., QB, Bensalem, Pa.

Shane McSweeny became the first Wesley quarterback to pass for four touchdowns since Chris Warrick the 2006 NCAA Playoffs as Wesley downed LaGrange 56-7. With the score still close in the second quarter, McSweeny was a perfect 3-for-3 in the two-minute drill, throwing a touchdown to Ellis Krout in the final 15 seconds of the half. He was 16-of-21 on the game for 216 yards and four touchdowns, while also running for 36 yards on four carries.

Sean Kelly, Salisbury, Jr., QB, Fallston, Md.

Kelly, did not make the start Saturday, but was called upon quickly due to injury and guided the Salisbury offense to near perfection during its 38-20 win against St. John Fisher. His 10 completions, two touchdowns and 144 passing yards were all career-high marks. Kelly's 20-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter gave the Gulls a 10-6 lead, sparking a 28-0 run by Salisbury.   For the game he was 10-for-12 for 144 yards and two touchdowns.  He also ran 13 times for 46 yards and one touchdown.

ACFC Defensive Player Of The Week

Brandon Hudson, Salisbury, Sr., DB, Delmar, Md.

Hudson, a transfer from Div. I-AA Delaware State, was all over the field for the Sea Gulls. Among his three interceptions, was a key pick at the end of the second quarter. With St. John Fisher up 6-3 and threatening to make it a two-score game at the half, Hudson came up with an interception in the end zone with 18 seconds left in the half. He also broke up a pair of passes with a couple of huge hits.   On the game he had five tackles (4 solo, 1 assisted), three interceptions, two pass breakups and returned two kickoffs for 35 yards.

ACFC Special Teams Player Of The Week

Anthony Duckworth, Apprentice, Fr., DB, New Orleans, La.

The freshman had his second return for a touchdown in two weeks for the Builders in a 49-30 loss at Fairleigh Dickinson-Florham.  After FDU scored he returned the kickoff 83 yards for a touchdown.  He had a punt return in the home victory over George Mason.  On the game he had 144 yards on six returns.

ACFC Rookie Of The Week

Brandon Wright, Wesley, Fr., RB, Clayton, N.J.

Brandon Wright rushed for his first two touchdowns, including the game's opening score in Wesley's 56-7 win over LaGrange. The freshman carried the ball 12 times for 71 yards in the game, both career highs. He scored on runs of one and six yards and had a long of 17 yards.
