ACFC Week 8 Honors


 

ACFC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINATION

Aaron Jackson, Wesley, Sr., RB, New Brunswick, NJ

Aaron Jackson tallied 260 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns as Wesley dispatched Webber International 34-7. He scored three rushing touchdowns and added a 63-yard touchdown reception. He led the team with 173 rushing yards and 87 receiving yards. 

ACFC DEFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Brandon Hudson, Salisbury, Sr., DB, Delmar, Md.

Matched his number of tackles with interceptions and pass breakups as Salisbury defeated Union, NY 19-16.  His second interception was late in the game that stalled the final drive for the Dutchmen.

Mike Ward, Wesley, Sr., DT, Norwich, Conn.

Had a busy afternoon as the now third-ranked Wesley Wolverines handled Webber International 34-7.  He had eight tackles (1 solo, 7 assisted), 1.5 tackles for a loss, one sack and one forced fumble in the victory as Wesley limited the Warriors to just 48 yards rushing and 199 total yards.

ACFC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Matt McMurdo, Salisbury, Fr., LB, Chalfont, Pa.

Was one of the leading tacklers for Salisbury University in its 19-16 homecoming win over Union, NY.  He had four tackles, including one for a loss in the effort.

Honor Roll: Dan Tryon, Wesley

ACFC SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Tommy Kowalick, Salisbury, Jr., K, Sterling, Va.

Hit a 22-yard field goal with 4:19 left to give Salisbury a 19-16 victory over Union, N.Y.  He also averaged almost 62 yards per kickoff pinning the Dutchmen on several occasions.
